Privacy Policy — ExtraTime

Privacy Policy

ExtraTime (“the App”) is provided by GoPaSg (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use ExtraTime and how we use it. ExtraTime is a parental screen-time management app. It is designed to be set up and controlled by a parent or guardian on behalf of their child; it is not directed at children as independent users.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information (parent). When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and your relationship to the child (e.g. “Mum,” “Dad,” “Guardian”), stored via Firebase Authentication and Firestore.
  • Child profile information. When a parent adds a child, we store the child's display name, chosen avatar, a numeric PIN code (used only to unlock the app on the child's device — not an account password), reward points, and screen-time balances. Children do not create their own accounts; the child's device is linked to the parent's account using a one-time invite code and an anonymous Firebase identifier that is not tied to any personal information about the child.
  • Screen-time and app-usage data. To enforce time limits and bedtime schedules and to show parents a usage summary, the App monitors which app is in use and for how long on the child's device. On iOS, this uses Apple's Screen Time, Family Controls, and Device Activity frameworks, which run on the device. On Android, the App uses Android's Accessibility Service, which the parent must enable, to detect which app is in the foreground, and Android's usage-access permission to build the per-app usage report. The Accessibility Service is used only to detect the foreground app and to display the lock screen; it is not used to collect anything else. Time used is deducted from the child's balance and the balance is synced to your account. ExtraTime does notread message content, browsing history, passwords, or on-screen content — only which app is in use and for how long.
  • Tasks and rewards data. Tasks assigned by a parent, their completion status, and reward points earned are stored so both parent and child can see progress.
  • Subscription and purchase information. Subscription purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We receive subscription status (e.g. active/expired, plan tier) but never receive your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
  • Advertising data (Free plan only). If you're on the Free plan, ExtraTime shows ads via Google AdMob. Depending on your consent choices (on iOS, your App Tracking Transparency choice; on both platforms, the consent given through our consent management platform), AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Android advertising ID on Android) to show either personalized or non-personalized ads. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Paid plans (Basic/Premium) do not show ads.
  • Push notification token. We store a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so a parent's remote lock/unlock action can be delivered to the child's device.

2. How We Use This Information

  • To operate core features: task assignment, reward tracking, screen-time limits, bedtime schedules, and remote device lock/unlock.
  • To process and validate subscription purchases.
  • To show advertising to Free-tier users (subject to your consent choices).
  • To provide customer support when you contact us.

We do notsell your personal information or your child's information to third parties.

4. Children's Privacy

ExtraTime is intended to be configured and controlled by a parent or legal guardian. Children do not independently register for an account, provide an email address, or make purchases. Any information about a child stored in the App is entered and controlled by that child's parent/guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information other than through a parent's account setup, contact us at pyewmeng2@gmail.com and we will delete it.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Account and child profile data is retained until the parent deletes their account or removes a child profile. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or request deletion at gopasg.com/extratime/delete-account. You can also contact pyewmeng2@gmail.com.

6. Security

Data is stored using Firebase's security infrastructure with access rules restricting each family's data to that family's account. Sensitive local values (e.g. device link credentials) are stored in the device Keychain.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact pyewmeng2@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

Questions about this policy:

Terms of Use — ExtraTime

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the ExtraTime app, provided by GoPaSg (“we,” “us”). By downloading, installing, or using ExtraTime, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who Can Use ExtraTime

ExtraTime is intended for use by a parent or legal guardian to manage screen time for a child in their care. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a parent account.

2. Subscriptions

ExtraTime offers a Free plan and paid Basic/Premium subscription plans, billed monthly or annually through your Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android).

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
  • Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region; any promotional or trial pricing is disclosed at the time of purchase.
  • No refund will be issued for partial subscription periods, except as required by Apple's, Google's or applicable law's refund policies.

3. Acknowledgement Regarding Apple

This agreement is between you and GoPaSg only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content.

GoPaSg, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content, and for providing any maintenance and support for the App, to the extent required by applicable law.

In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.

4. Screen Time Features — Important Limitations

ExtraTime uses Apple's Screen Time, Family Controls, and Device Activity frameworks on iOS, and Android's Accessibility Service on Android, to monitor usage and restrict access to apps on a child's device. These features depend on:

  • The child's device remaining enrolled and the App not being removed or its permissions revoked (on Android, this includes the Accessibility Service being switched off or the App being force-stopped).
  • Apple's and Google's frameworks functioning as documented; they may change or limit these APIs at any time, which can affect the App's ability to enforce limits.

We do not guarantee that screen-time limits, locks, or bedtime schedules will be enforced without exception, and we are not liable for a child bypassing restrictions (e.g. by using another device, or if Screen Time or Accessibility permissions are altered on the device).

5. Parental Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information entered for your child's profile, for supervising your child's use of their device, and for deciding whether ExtraTime's features meet your family's needs. ExtraTime is a tool to assist parental oversight, not a substitute for it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ExtraTime to monitor or restrict a device belonging to anyone other than a child in your care, or in any way that violates applicable law.

7. Advertising

Free-plan users will see advertisements served via Google AdMob. Ads are not shown to Basic or Premium subscribers.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ExtraTime is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that screen-time enforcement will be 100% effective.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoPaSg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and cancel your subscription at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
